Visiting care and home care in Bodmin
Named Petrockstow when a monastery was founded there in the 6th century by St. Petroc, Bodmin has been the site of various historic events over the years, including three Cornish uprisings that occurred in the 15th and 16th centuries. Bodmin also saw half of its 3000-strong population killed by the Black Death in the mid-14th century, although it had recovered to almost 15,000 by the 2011 census.
