Meet Leanne, our Branch Manager
Joanne is the Area Manager for the West Region. She oversees a number of branches in the area, to ensure that each customer that we have is entirely happy with the service that is being provided for them.
Although she covers a number of branches, Joanne supervises every branch on a personal level, supporting branch managers, carers and customers alike. She has lived and worked in the local area for all of her life, and has been working in care for 20 years.
Joanne said, "I am so passionate about ensuring customers are receiving the best possible care. Our customers in Burton upon Trent and the surrounding areas deserve compassion, respect and support and I am here to support our carers in providing that high quality support."
Home care visits to suit your needs
Every person’s care needs are different, so that is why we tailor each care package to suit the individual. From calls as short as 30 minutes, through to a sitting service that lasts all day or even overnight, we can provide the perfect care plan for you and your needs.
Personal care can be a daunting prospect for many, but our highly trained and professional carers in your area are there to preserve your privacy and dignity.
Visiting carers are trained to manage and help with medication, mobility issues, household tasks such as cooking and cleaning, companionship and even complex care needs. Depending on your own personal situation we can create a personalised care package, providing exactly what you need to be able to live life how you want to.
We fully understand the changeability of care needs. That’s why we offer respite support – be that to cover family emergencies, a hospital discharge or double-up calls to support a live-in carer. If you are the main carer for a relative or loved one, and in need of some respite we can provide short term home care visits to cover your well-deserved break.
The carers are good listeners and they help with everything. They give you space when you need it and don’t try to interfere. I couldn’t recommend a more pleasant care company.

Housekeeping services in Cannock
Keeping your home just the way you like it is an important part of staying in your own home. A house doesn’t run itself, so we provide housekeeping support to keep things ticking over nicely.
Our housekeeping services in Cannock include:
Cleaning services and vacuuming
It may not seem like a big thing, but a clean and tidy home can make a huge difference to how it feels. Our trained carers are able to support with tidying, washing the dishes, vacuuming, dusting and even cleaning the bathroom.
Laundry and ironing
A heap of laundry can certainly be a daunting task, but the support of one of our housekeepers can help relieve the pressure. The washing, drying and ironing can all be carried out to take a weight off your shoulders.
Preparing meals and snacks
Culinary practice is part of every carer’s training programme when they join Helping Hands. Being able to meet specific dietary requirements or preparing meals for those who are unable to is something that all of our carers can, and are happy, to do.
A furry friend is a wonderful companion and often part of the family, so providing them with the care to keep them safely at home with you comes as part of the package. If it’s walking the dog or changing the litter trays our carers will do as much or little is required for them to keep both you, and your loved pet looked after at home.
Odd jobs and shopping
Out of milk? Fancy a read of the morning paper? Need your prescription picking up? Running errands and popping to the shops are no problem for our local Cannock carers. Our care and support services are not just confined to the home, we can be active in your local area to provide what you need.

All of our Cannock carers are passionate and dedicated to providing the best possible care, which is why we regularly run refresher courses. Combined with working in the field, this extra training provides them with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver the right care.
We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and because we provide a fully managed service – which means we handle the care process from start to finish – we can provide support at every step of the way if there is ever a problem or change in circumstance.
If you are interested in joining our team of wonderful local carers, pop in to your local branch to talk about available job opportunities. Alternatively, contact our recruitment team who will be very happy to talk to you about the recruitment and training process in Cannock and the surrounding areas.
I’ve been a visiting carer for nearly five years now, and really enjoy it! The flexibility helps me to stay at home with my children in the daytime and work evenings and weekends.
