Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Hatfield

With Helping Hands, you are receiving care from an industry-leading provider with nationwide coverage and regulation via the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Unlike care agencies, we directly employ all of our carers through locally-managed branches.

With our fully managed service, you can be assured that your loved one is being cared for by a dedicated professional who endeavours to build a genuine relationship with the utmost compassion. Furthermore, every carer undergoes rigorous training and background checks before beginning their career with us and receives regular, ongoing professional development.

Specialist dementia care

With over 30 years of experience in delivering care to the doors of adults of all ages nationwide, dementia care has been at the forefront of our service. As dementia specialists, we understand every step of the journey from your initial diagnosis, so that we can empathise with your experience and go above and beyond to cater to the needs which are individual to every person.

You can get in touch with our team 7 days per week for guidance about the condition, and once you decide to begin receiving support from one of our dementia carers, rest assured there will be specialist assistance guaranteed and available for an immediate start.

Elderly care to maintain independence in Hatfield

Getting older is a privilege denied to many, but it comes with its challenges. Between keeping on top of housework, looking after your health & hygiene, and interacting with friends, family & the local community, sometimes it’s a lot for an ageing body to withstand. With the help of our elderly carers, you can receive the support you need to make your day-to-day routine a little easier.

We understand that receiving help from a stranger isn’t the most desirable thing to seek, which is why we ensure our carers undergo rigorous training and background checks, to ensure they are well-equipped to undertake your care, are matched to your personality and interests, and provide support on a consistent basis so that your carer becomes a friend over time.

Respite care for urgent support

Depending on somebody for support can be difficult when they are unavailable, which is why we have a dedicated respite care team to provide temporary care immediately, preventing any worry about who is going to be there to help you in the event that your usual support isn’t around.

Some of our respite customers only require care on a short-term basis anyway, if they are living through recovery or attending an occasion outside of their usual routine. Rest assured, with our respite care team, your needs will be catered for quickly and for a timeframe that suits you.

Fully-trained carers in Hatfield

With regular monitoring and regulation from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), all our branches and their staff are committed to delivering our service with best practice. Just 2% of our applicants are accepted for employment and all of them undergo background checks and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening before taking on the care of our customers.

Throughout over 35 years of experience in the home care industry, we’ve done our utmost to keep developing our overall skill set and knowledge of various conditions. In addition to industry-leading training provision for our carers, we are affiliates of Dementia Action Alliance founding members of United Kingdom Home Care Association.
