Helping Hands have been supporting people to remain as independent as possible in their own homes for over 30 years and because our service is regulated by the CQC and CIW you can be confident that we’re the home care experts. Our service starts from just 30 minutes a week meaning we can support everyone who needs us regardless of your condition, so why not talk to us today about care at home in the Kings Hill area?
We can support you in and around King’s Hill, Kent Street, Herne Pound, Mereworth, West Peckham, Nettlestead, Goose Green and the surrounding areas.
Kings Hill is a new village development in Kent which first broke ground in 1989 and was sympathetically designed and built in the Kent style, meaning it complements rather than detracts from the local environment. We have something in common with Kings Hill as we were also established in 1989, so we can identify with putting down roots and growing over the last 30 years. Helping Hands has gone from a small, local care company based in Alcester, Warwickshire, to one that now covers most of England and Wales, and with our visiting care and live-in care services starting from just 30 minutes a week, we’re able to support anyone who needs us, regardless of the severity of their condition.
“Hi, I’m Sue. As the Branch Manager for Maidstone, it is my responsibility to ensure that our customers are always receiving the level of support that they need in order to remain comfortable and independent at home.
“I really enjoy being able to support our carers enough to know that they are making a positive difference to our customers, and that our team are providing a fantastic level of care to the Maidstone community. I remember one particular gentleman who was living with severe physical disabilities, and I would escort him to college where he was doing a pottery course. He certainly tested my creative abilities when he wanted to make a scaled-down version of the White House!”
For over 30 years, we've been supporting people with care, nurse-supported care and companionship across England and Wales. As industry-leaders in home care, we know what it takes to provide the right level of care so that you can retain your independence in the comfort of your beloved home.

Fully flexible care packages as your needs change
Flexible care provided in your own home with a fully qualified carer. Visits start from as little as 30 minutes up to several hourly or overnight calls throughout the week.
One-to-one support from a fully qualified care that lives with you. Full-time support so you can stay at home where you feel most comfortable.
With home care, you will get all the support you need to enable you to continue living in the home you love, as independently as possible. Our compassionate carers will come to you at home from 30 minutes a week upwards, so whether you have mild or complex care needs, we can design a bespoke package of care for you. This can include help with personal care, housework, medication, meal preparation, mobility and getting out into the local community.
Live-in care gives you the best of both worlds – you get the around the clock care you need yet get to remain in the home you love. Moving into residential care isn’t a decision to be taken lightly; you may want to remain in the home that you’ve lived in for decades, that you raised a family in, and that you’ve made many happy memories in, so if you’re reluctant to leave all of that you don’t have to. Our amazing live-in carers will help with every aspect of your daily routine and give you the companionship you enjoy too.
We’re better than a home care agency because we have a solid ethos for keeping our customers as independent as possible at home, as well as making sure our carers feel valued and motivated at all times. We achieve this by having a fully managed service and directly employing our carers, meaning they know we’re always behind them when they need us. On top of this we always ensure that our customers fully understand our pricing structure, keeping it clear and concise at all times.
Domiciliary care is also known as care at home, and for over 30 years, Helping Hands have been one of the UK’s leading home care providers. We’ve achieved this by focussing on the most important aspects of building relationships with our carers and customers, so that everyone feels highly valued. We offer two types of care at home, visiting and live-in and both are supported by our incredible carers who we think are among the most compassionate in the industry.
When you’re living with dementia you need a care company who will design you a bespoke dementia care package that celebrates you as an individual, rather than seeing only the dementia. We’re considered one of the UK’s foremost dementia specialists, thanks to our years of experience, in-depth dementia training and compassionate carers who will support you with every aspect of your daily life.
When your regular carer needs to take a well-earned break or perhaps your family are going on holiday and need someone to support you while they’re gone, you may think your only option is to go into residential care. This couldn’t be further from the truth though as at Helping Hands we provide respite care to thousands of people who need temporary support, whether short or longer-term and in an emergency, we’ll get care into your home within 24 hours.
When everyday tasks are becoming harder to undertake, perhaps because you aren’t as strong as you used to be or you’re experiencing the after-effects of an illness or condition, elderly care from Helping Hands can be highly beneficial. We can help with housework, personal care, meal preparation, medication and so much more, meaning you get to stay in the home you love and live your best life possible.
Our carers really are the heart of Helping Hands as without them we couldn’t provide care at home for our thousands of customers. This means that we have to be confident in who we are employing, and we select our carers very carefully from our many applicants. Our carers go through thorough training when they join us as well as being fully screened by the Disclosure and Barring Service to keep you safe at home. Our fully managed service is also regulated independently by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, so you can be confident at every stage with us.
