Live-in care in Knaresborough from Helping Hands gives you the opportunity to have one of our superb carers live with you in your home and provide round-the-clock support and companionship. Your live-in carer will have their own room in your home, and will be on hand throughout the day and night to proactively help out with any physical, practical and emotional needs you may have. We’ll pair you with someone who shares your personality, interests and general outlook on life so that you’re living with someone you’ll get on really well with, and we’ll take the time to make sure your live-in carer knows what you need assistance with, how you like things to be done, what you’d like your daily schedule to look like, and what personal boundaries you’d like to set.
We’re a private care provider rather than a care agency, which means that we offer a number of guarantees that many agencies simply don’t. For example, when you partner with our Knaresborough team for home care, you’ll only ever be supported by carers who are directly employed and paid by us. This means you can have peace of mind that your Helping Hands carer has been recruited, vetted and trained by us, and is being properly looked after. We’ll handle your carer’s wages, give them paid holiday and a pension, and ensure they’re able to focus their time and energy on looking after you. And, should a carer ever be unavailable at short notice, we’ll always provide you with an alternative carer who will also be employed by us.

We know that it takes a special sort of person to be a truly great carer, which is why we have such a rigorous recruitment and vetting process in place. Then, when they start with us, every new carer enrols on our industry-leading carer training, where they learn how to support people with a wide variety of needs. This initial carer training is supplemented by ongoing refresher courses, to ensure each carer’s knowledge and skillset is kept up to date with the latest care industry standards and best practices. And, for your full peace of mind, every aspect of our nursing care is independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
