With its impressive three-spired cathedral that provides a medieval backdrop for the city, Lichfield is rich in history and culture spanning over 1,300 years. Located in the heart of Staffordshire and just north of Birmingham, this vibrant city makes for the perfect place to visit to soak up the very British atmosphere. It’s also the home to a team of dedicated and empathetic home carers from Helping Hands. Both our visiting and live-in carers are here to help you live the lifestyle you want to lead, with as much support as you need.

With nearly 30 years in the care sector, specialising in dementia and domiciliary care, I was a Registered Branch Manager for 12 years. I moved to Burton in 2020 and chose Helping Hands for their values. I'm passionate about providing high-quality care and proud to be part of a team dedicated to kindness in all we do.

My role as Area Care Manager is to oversee the Central region, ensuring that new branches are set up safely and are providing a quality service to customers, and ensuring that branch care managers feel supported in their roles to do this.
I started in care 20+ years ago as a care worker whilst studying at university. This was to gain experience in a customer-facing role and because I have a passion for caring for people with various disabilities. After finishing university, I continued in the care sector as I enjoyed supporting people to live their way in their own home. I worked my way up to a care coordinator, registered care manager and then managing multiple sites as a director of services.
I took on the role at Helping Hands as head of care as their values align with me, the main one being KINDNESS. At Helping Hands, we believe in providing a quality, safe and effective service to our customers and recruiting the best talent to enable us to do this. Just like the customer, we value our staff by being flexible for them and providing them with extensive training to do their role and progress within the organisation; as head of care, this makes me proud to work here!
I champion dignity in care and believe that everyone should be treated with dignity - this is a basic human right and not an added extra.

As the Regional Care Director, it is my role to lead a hugely skilled care team operating in London, Essex and the South East, ensuring the highest levels of care are being delivered to our customers on a daily basis. We have a large branch network equipped to deal with all your hourly care needs, and I am also the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our live-in program, where we are set up to support you on a more permanent basis.
I am inspired on a daily basis by the true lengths my colleagues go to, to ensure that customers can continue to live long, healthy lives from the comfort of their own homes. This is one of the main reasons that inspired me to join care.
Our Reviews
Fully regulated by the CQC
Our Lichfield branch is fully regulated and accredited by the CQC
Ensuring our home carers deliver the most outstanding care is something we’re passionate about. We employ our carers ourselves and train them carefully before they support any of our customers, and that’s something you won’t find with a care agency. We’re a private home care company, established in 1989, and dedicated to delivering only the highest standards of care. Each of our Lichfield carers undergoes a bespoke training programme, regardless of past experience, which covers everything they can expect to encounter in their customers’ homes. We also screen them fully via Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and check references carefully. This is how we can be sure they’re suitable to come into your home.
Live-in care across Lichfield
If the need arises where you need more intensive support, but the idea of residential care isn’t for you, the Lichfield branch team will provide bespoke, unintrusive live-in care to keep you safe and independent at home. With live-in care from our Lichfield team, you will have round-the-clock support that provides the right care for you, with no compromise to your independence or routine. The great thing about live-in care is that, unlike most residential settings, you have full control and flexibility over your care. There are no visiting restrictions, no strict mealtimes or menus, and no daily schedules to abide by; the only person who chooses what you do with your day is you.
Private care Lichfield
You might be considering care following an operation or recent illness or have a loved one who lives with dementia or Parkinson’s. Private care allows you or someone close to you to have one-to-one care in the comfort of your own home, rather than going through the upheaval of moving into nursing or residential care. Private care also helps you with everyday tasks which might be starting to become more difficult, such as getting dressed, remembering to take your medication, or getting to and from the bathroom. Whatever it is you need support with, our private carers are on hand to help, and always put your independence and dignity first.
