Meet Joanne, our Area Manager
"Hello, I’m Joanne, the Area Manager for the West Region. It’s my responsibility to oversee a number of branches as they meet with customers to gain feedback on a regular basis and ensure that they are happy with our service. I support and manage a wonderful team of branch managers, supporting them with supervisions and appraisals. I have lived in Netherton for 30 years, and I have worked in the surrounding areas all of my career.
I have 20 years’ experience in the care industry and have worked through all roles from a carer to senior to visiting officer coordinator to Registered Manager which has given me an in-depth knowledge about all of the roles and expectations. I am very passionate about customers receiving the best quality care possible and we are very thorough when recruiting staff for our job roles. For me I always think whether this would be right for my own family member. I am incredibly committed to ensuring that we deliver the finest quality home care, with compassionate, qualified, experienced carers."
Regular home visits for people in Lichfield
Our local carers are on hand to support in a variety of different areas. Whether you just need a bit of support getting ready in the morning or need help when you’re out and about, visiting care enables you or someone you know to have the care you need while still enjoying all your home comforts.
Everyone is different of course, but you might be looking at home care for you or a relative to help with:
- Personal care – supporting with dressing, continence care, and showering
- Keeping on top of household duties – assisting with the day-to-day running of your home by carrying out light housework, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Medication support – making sure you have the right medication at the right time
- Assisting with mobility – helping you to use aids such as walking frames or sticks, and Zimmer frames, as well as supporting with hoisted transfers or wheelchairs
- Complex needs – tending to catheters, stomas, and monitoring bowel movements or specialist equipment
Whether you’re arranging care for yourself or looking at the options for a loved one, it can be overwhelming understanding the options available to you. Joanne and her team will walk you through the process, ensuring you understand every part and how care at home works.
If you’re receiving direct payments for social care through social services, we are able to accept top-ups to these payments. Get in touch to find out more.
The carers are good listeners and they help with everything. They give you space when you need it and don’t try to interfere. I couldn’t recommend a more pleasant care company.

24-hour support in and around Lichfield
Our live-in carers services in Lichfield ensure those with advanced care needs have the continuous care they need to retain as much independence as possible. With live-in care, one of our carers will be there to support you and your family at all times.
Live-in care sees a fully-trained carer move into your home to help you whenever you need them. If you’re recovering from an operation or have a relative with a complex condition, live-in care provides the continuity of care that they need to remain comfortable at home.
All of our carers go through an extended training programme at our Centre of Excellence and our training is also endorsed by Skills for Care, meaning that you can be sure you’ll have support from a fully-trained and friendly carer.
Helping you enjoy what matters most to you
We understand you’ll have specific hobbies and interests, and we believe that you should always be able to enjoy these even if you need some extra help for that to happen.
Our carers can help you to get out and about in the local community to see friends and family, or to enjoy the hobbies that are most important to you. They’ll even get involved themselves if you want them to.
And if you’re finding hard to get down to the shops and appointments, our carers will even take you and bring you home safely.
Specialist care for advanced care requirements
Our Lichfield carers work with our team of experienced clinical nurse specialists to provide quality care for those affected by complex conditions such as multiple sclerosis or people who have sustained brain or spinal injuries.
We always put your independence and comfort first when it comes to complex care. Together with your family and others involved in your care, we’ll create your own unique care plan that best suits your needs.
With your handpicked carer there to help you with anything you need, you can continue living the independent lifestyle you want to lead, with all your home comforts around you.
Short-term care for when you need a break
Caring for someone else can be a lot to take on, especially if you’re balancing other commitments as well. It is estimated that 3 in 5 people will become carers for a friend or relative at some point in their lives, but the pressures this can bring can hard to handle.
Respite care allows you to have a few days’ recovery while still ensuring that the person you’re supporting can still have the care they need. Respite care can last anywhere from a long weekend to a few weeks, with both visiting and live-in options available.
What always matters is that you can have a break, safe in the knowledge your loved one is completely safe and supported.
Fully-trained and dedicated carers for Lichfield families
To ensure our visiting carers provide the highest standard of care for you or a loved one, each goes through a detailed training programme at our Centre of Excellence. Though they all have different levels of experience and personalities, what unites our carers is their passion and commitment.
Our carers also have opportunities to take additional training and refresher courses to keep their skills fresh, so you can be assured they are trained according to the latest regulations and practices.
Because we’re a regulated care provider, our team ensures the care they provide puts their customer first and should there ever be a problem, we can provide support quickly.
I’ve been a visiting carer for nearly five years now, and really enjoy it! The flexibility helps me to stay at home with my children in the daytime and work evenings and weekends.
