Meet Jennifer Sturch, our Branch Manager
Hi, my name is Jennifer, but you’re welcome to call me Jen. As the Branch Manager for Lincoln, I’m responsible for the development and overall running of the branch, the high-quality service we provide, and the management of our lovely carers.
I’ve lived in the Lincoln area for 23 years, so I know the area well and understand the diversity of the nearby residents. It’s a great place, and I’m proud to be part of the community.

What a great impact Helping Hands has had for my mother. She is really pleased with the helpers who are ensuring that she is ready for the day. Knowing she has someone there has been a godsend.

Live-in care for ongoing care needs
Over time, you might find you need more ongoing care and support. With your own dedicated domiciliary carer, permanently living in your home alongside you, the right support is on hand when you need it.
All of our carers are selected based on their personalities and any shared interests you have with them, as well as their experience. This ensures you have someone you feel comfortable with and who will give you the care you require.
Available 24/7, our live-in care service helps you with the day-to-day tasks you might be struggling with. Your carer will also carry out other duties such as carrying out hoisted transfers, taking you to medical appointments, or preparing your meals. They can even help you take care of your pet if you have one.
Welcoming someone into your home is a significant step and we fully appreciate how hard it can be to build trust in the early stages. Your local manager will be on hand to oversee everything and to implement any changes that come up, giving you peace of mind and the reassurance that someone will be there to help at all times. If you need them, they’ll only ever be a phone call or an email away.
Nurse-led clinical support and dementia care
Being diagnosed with a complex condition or coming to terms with a brain or spinal injury presents various challenges. But you don’t need to leave your home to get the right care. Our carers work alongside our team of clinical nurse specialists to advance their skills, with many of them taking additional training on various areas of complex care.
We also have a team of dementia specialists on hand to advise on how to support someone with the condition at home, the place that is most familiar and comfortable to them. Moving into a residential home can be a distressing experience at the best of times. With a fully-trained carer supporting your loved one, you can be reassured that they’ll have the right care whenever they need it.
Emergency care and respite care
Situations can change suddenly, and it can be incredibly distressing trying to arrange care in difficult situations such as after a fall or a family emergency. We can arrange for respite care to start quickly, sometimes within a matter of hours.
Because all of our carers are directly employed by us, we can also provide cover for when your current carer is ill or has to attend to their own emergency. As a result, your loved one will always have the support they need, allowing you to handle the situation reassured that they are well-looked after.
Carer training in Lincoln
Each of our carers in Lincoln goes through a thorough training programme in branch, regardless of their previous care experience.
Covering topics such as personal care and how to assist someone with showering and other daily tasks, all training is carried out by an expert team. We also carry out rigorous background checks before accepting a carer – each one is chosen for their compassionate attitude and dedication.
We’re a CQC-regulated provider of home care, which means that we only put forward the best carers who will deliver the highest standard of care for your family member or friend.
I’ve been a visiting carer for nearly five years now, and really enjoy it! The flexibility helps me to stay at home with my children in the daytime and work evenings and weekends.
