Home care in Lytham St Annes
Visiting care and home care in Lytham St Annes
A real pair of jewels in Lancashire’s crown, the dual seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes are conveniently close to Blackpool but move at a quieter pace. Nestled in picturesque coastline with a beautiful beach and attractive seafront, they have plenty to attract the modern visitor, as well as those who are looking for a slice of history, with the Victorian Pier and historic windmill drawing many tourists. There are also plenty of parks, lawns and a boating lake to enjoy on a sunny day, showing us why there’s still plenty to love about the British seaside!
If you have always enjoyed the outdoors and would love someone to help you see the sea again, or you’d just appreciate someone helping your everyday routine to flow better, talk to Helping Hands about our visiting and live-in care. Everything we do is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Care Inspectorate Wales, meaning you and your loved ones can be confident you’ll be in the very best hands every day.

Regional Care Director
As the Regional Care Director for the north, I am responsible for all types of care delivery to our customers - whether it be live-in care or our hourly service. My role involves ensuring that our carers deliver a consistent and seamless high quality of care to our customers. I manage a team of dedicated, hardworking people who strive to deliver a fantastic service. Following a highly successful career in welfare to work, recruitment and training, I wanted to look at a fresh challenge, and following some research and numerous conversations, I believed that the care sector would be a good fit and that I could easily transfer my skills and experience into this role.

Other care we provide
High quality home care in Lytham St Annes
Our visiting care is a flexible service that can be as infrequent or regular as you need. You may prefer support for a few hours a week to help you visit the shops, give the house a thorough clean or attend appointments, or you may need us every day to support with helping you in and out of bed, medication, and meal preparation. However you need us, our visiting carers our amazing at what they do, keeping you as independent as possible in the home you love and supporting you to live your best quality of life.
24/7 live in care support
Live-in care is something extra special; by having a carer living in your home with you, you get to have the reassurance that you’re never alone, with the knowledge that you’ll receive high quality support. If you need care around the clock, you may feel your only option is to move out of your beloved home, but with live-in care that isn’t the case. You can stay in familiar surroundings, dictating how your care progresses, with the one-to-one support you just can’t get outside of your home.
Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Lytham St Annes
Helping Hands has never been a care agency; we’re proud to be a private home care company who have been in business since 1989. Since we were established we’ve supported thousands of people to remain living in the home they love and avoid moving into residential care. You may wonder why being labelled as an agency matters, but as care agencies often only source you a carer, charging you a hefty fee and then leaving you to manage all the rest of the details, you can understand why our fully-managed care is as far from agency support as it’s possible to get.
Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Lytham St Annes
We employ all of our carers directly as we believe this gives them a better quality of employment, but also because we don’t want an external agency having control over who comes into your home. We manage all of our carers ourselves because we want to be sure that only people who are suitable to enter your home are doing so. This is why we check references thoroughly, screen through the DBS, and assess all our carers’ suitability ourselves. We then equip them with all the skills and knowledge they’ll need to expertly care for you, thanks to our blended learning programme of in-person, online, and face-to-face development.
