Area Care Manager
Hello, I’m Denny, area manager for Helping Hands’ Central region. It’s my responsibility to meet with customers to gain feedback on a regular basis and ensure that they are happy with our service, to meet potential new customers face-to-face and to manage a wonderful team of visiting carers, supporting them with supervisions and appraisals. I am also a Dementia Champion, which has really developed my understanding of support and supervision for those working with, and living with, the condition.

Local home care visits to suit you
-
Everyone is different, and that’s exactly the sentiment that we follow as a professional home care provider – to create bespoke home care that is shaped entirely around you. The dedicated team of carers will work with you to get the care you want, when you want it. So, if it’s afternoon calls to help with your personal care (and if you’re really not a morning person), or if you simply want someone to accompany you to Farndon Fields Farm Shop to pick up some fresh fruit and veg, the team will be there with you.
With experience in conditions such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, dementia and many others, we’re equipped to provide you with the very best support. And we won’t just help you to live with your condition, we’ll be there for you as a friendly face to rely on and have a natter with.

Better than agency care, to help you live the life you want to
-
We’re better than a care agency because we work extra hard to make sure our care staff are fully trained and always well looked after. We are all about promoting independence and will help you to do this so that you have as much autonomy and freedom as you possibly can.
Remaining together as a couple is something the team also help with. After all, if you’ve shared most of your lives together, why should your care needs mean that you should be separated? If one or both of you need assistance, we can put the right care in place to allow you to continue living together by each other’s side.

Live-in care in Market Harborough to cater for all of your needs
-
For more intensive support, our live-in care in Market Harborough team may provide the ideal solution if you need regular support but don’t want to move to a nursing home. With round-the-clock assistance and a detailed care plan that’s tailored to your needs, a live-in carer will get to know you and your schedule and fit in with your existing routine seamlessly.
What’s more, we’ll ensure you’re looked after with dignity, kindness and empathy to ensure both your physical and emotional wellbeing are taken care of, as well as enabling you to be as independent as you can possibly be.

Private care for peace of mind
-
For over 30 years, we’ve been providing some of the nation’s best private care in the homes of people throughout England and Wales. It’s no coincidence that we’re the first and only home care provider to be endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care for our training programme, which enables us to put forward only the very best carers to visit you in your home.
Although private care is traditionally associated with elderly care, we look after anyone who needs extra support from the age of 18 all the way up to 100 and beyond. If it’s support to ensure you’re eating three meals a day and help to tidy up the dishes afterwards, or if you simply want someone to accompany you on a shopping trip down the quaint streets of Market Harborough’s town centre – we’ll be right there with you.

Dementia care from the Market Harborough team
-
With diagnosis rates of dementia increasing every year, we understand more than ever how important it is to get the right care when living with any one of the hundreds of different types of dementia. From Pick’s disease to vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia to Alzheimer’s – we can help to support both you and your family with the varying symptoms that manifest in any number of ways, depending on the individual.
Not only do we train all of our carers on how to look after someone with dementia, the team can help with anything from preparing the right meals, finding the right responses when difficult things are said and even helping to prepare a Life Story Book to look back on your fondest memories. Dementia care isn’t just about looking after your practical needs; it’s also about remembering that you’re still a person underneath the dementia.

Respite care for short-term breaks
-
When you’re being cared for by a loved one or close friend, there naturally comes a time when you both need a bit of a break. And that’s where the team of devoted carers can step in. Even if it’s just for a few hours, a carer can allow you to still receive the very best care, but give you both a bit of breathing space and time to recuperate.
Whether you’ve just been discharged from hospital and need a bit of help to get you back on your feet, or you want to enjoy your holiday as a family but need extra support for your care – respite care can cover a whole host of options where support is needed for a set period of time or a last-minute change of circumstances.

Expert carers across Market Harborough
-
Since 1989, we’ve been providing heart-felt care to thousands of families, and this wouldn’t be possible without our amazing carers who really do go the extra mile. All of our carers go through an extensive training programme that covers moving and handling, safeguarding, medication, dementia and first aid. With many of them already having years of experience in the industry, we’ll ensure that the private carer that comes to visit you in your home is fully-trained and ready to help.
Every single one of our carers are employed directly by us, saving you any hassle with paperwork that you may experience with agencies. We also ensure they are screened by the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and along with all of our services, are all regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
