What is long term care?

At Helping Hands, we’ve got over 30 years’ experience in providing compassionate, life-changing  visiting care and live-in care in Richmond and across England and Wales.

One of the care services we regularly offer is long term care, which provides our customers with the opportunity to receive dedicated, flexible support over a long period of time.

Long term care seeks to provide a holistic, consistent brand of care that offers stability and reassurance to the person receiving it, as well as friends and family who might be involved in the care process.

Who is suitable for long term care?

Long term care is suitable for anyone who is finding they require an additional source of support to manage from day to day. It might be that you’re no longer able to take care of yourself or your home in the way you used to, or perhaps you’ve been looked after by a family member but now require more comprehensive care.

Historically, anyone needing extra care would have moved to a residential nursing home, but an increasing number of people are now opting to instead remain at home to receive specialist care on a one-to-one basis.

Long term care from Helping Hands Richmond offers a reliable, secure source of support and companionship that allows you to enjoy a better quality of life for longer whilst having full control over the type and level of care that you receive.

Richmond long term care from Helping Hands

We’re extremely proud of our wonderful Richmond carers; they truly are our most valuable asset, and they’re constantly going above and beyond to ensure our customers receive the exceptional care that they deserve.

All of our carers have been specifically recruited for their compassionate, dedicated approach to their roles, and have been subjected to numerous background checks before joining so that we can be certain they’ll be a perfect fit for us and for you.

As well as receiving comprehensive training when they first start with us, every carer is enrolled in regular refresher training courses to ensure they’re always up to date with the latest care industry standards and best practices. And, for your full peace of mind, all of our care services are independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, so you know we’re committed to only the very highest standards.
