‘Snoddingland’ existed well before the Domesday Book of 1031, when it was referred to as ‘Esnoiland’, appearing in a charter of 838 which saw King Egbert of Wessex give "four ploughlands in the place called Snoddingland and Holanbeorge" (Holborough) to Beornmod, the Bishop of Rochester. Having a rich heritage to our name is something we are very proud of at Helping Hands, and while we can’t compete with hundreds of years of history yet, we are proud of our more than 30 years in the home care industry so far. We offer a visiting care service from just 30 minutes a week right up to full-time, live-in care, so whatever you needs, we can design the perfect package of care for you.

Our Maidstone home care team will work with you to put together a personalised care plan so that you receive the support you need, when you need it. Helping Hands are a private care provider, rather than a care agency. This means that unlike many care agencies, we employ our carers directly and their well-being is always our number one priority. We also make sure all of our care is fully regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales. Care agencies are often unaccountable to regulators, which means your care won’t come with any quality guarantees and your carers won’t be accountable for the standard of their care.
