Visiting care and home care in Stanley
Stanley in West Yorkshire is home to the Stanley Marsh nature reserve which is situated on the site of a former colliery. Like much of the surrounding areas, Stanley’s main output was coal mining and it also has the distinction of containing the world’s first public railway, which commenced at nearby Lake Lock in 1798, used to haul coal and other goods to the canal network for distribution.
