Home care in Stanley
Visiting care and home care in Stanley
Stanley in West Yorkshire is home to the Stanley Marsh nature reserve which is situated on the site of a former colliery. Like much of the surrounding areas, Stanley’s main output was coal mining and it also has the distinction of containing the world’s first public railway, which commenced at nearby Lake Lock in 1798, used to haul coal and other goods to the canal network for distribution.
We’re familiar with expansion and great thinking at Helping Hands, as we have gone from one local branch in 1989 to well over 150 today. Our visiting and live-in care services are exceptional and will support you to live your best life possible in the home you love.

Branch Care Manager
I have worked with Helping Hands for nearly five years, starting as a carer and progressing to Branch Manager in January 2024. With experience in care since age 18, including brain injury support, I find Helping Hands exceptional, valuing carers and providing outstanding care. A mum of three grown-up children, I enjoy spending time with them, walking, and socialising with friends. Helping Hands truly goes above and beyond for everyone.

Support at home with elderly care
-
Getting older and needing extra support doesn’t have to mean that you can’t stay in the home you love any more. As we get older, we can become a little frailer, especially if living with joint pain, arthritis or the after-effects of an accident or fall. Just because tasks take longer doesn’t mean you should struggle on at home, as you could be having elderly care for support with vacuuming, preparing meals, personal care, housework and so much more.
