What are our live in care in Wantage services?

Helping Hands has been a home care industry leader for more than 30 years, and we offer a range of care service options so you can receive the care that best supports you and your lifestyle. For our customers with more complex care needs, we offer continuous live-in care and overnight care, so you have total peace of mind that someone is always there when you need them.

We also offer more intermittent options, so you can opt for a care visit of as little as 30 minutes per week. Our professional carers can help with any domestic tasks like help with housework, cooking, organising prescriptions and medication, mobility, and personal grooming like washing and dressing.

Respite care

Should someone’s usual carer need to step away or have urgent business they need to tend to, one of our Helping Hands respite carers can step in at short notice and fill in with all the ordinary care tasks. This means that you’re always supported and receiving uninterrupted care.

Caring for loved ones can be so rewarding, but we believe that carers need some TLC too, and we’re happy to cover for a carer who needs to recharge their batteries for a week or two whilst they rest or go on holiday.

Elderly care

Our team providing home care in Wantage  are fully trained, compassionate and experienced care workers who are experts at giving you the care you need in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Elderly care has advantages over residential home care, namely that you’re assured personalised, one-on-one attention that fits around your preferences and routines.

At Helping Hands, we like to go above and beyond, because care is about so much more than practical tasks. Our carers are people that genuinely want to make your daily life that little bit easier. We take the time to really get to know each of our customers so we can best offer the emotional support they need. Whether you need a kind word of assurance now and then or simply want someone to have a chat and a cup of tea with, our carers are here to make it happen.

Dementia care

Those with dementia and other conditions associated with memory loss require dementia care. We train our carers in the patience and adaptability needed to respond to these needs, so your loved one is always safe and comfortable. You’ll be matched with a carer that’s just right, and it’s up to you how long care calls are and how often they occur. Home care can make everyday tasks just that little bit simpler, all while maintaining your loved one’s sense of independence as they go about living the life they want to live.

Leading Wantage care experts

At Helping Hands Wantage, we want you to receive care of the very highest standard. Over our three decades in business we’ve also earnt other accreditations and are the only UK care group recognised as a Centre of Excellence for our training programme. All personal care services are provided by our Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered office Helping Hands Newbury.

Though we’re dedicated to ongoing professional training, we believe our reputation comes down to our excellent staff. Each and every one of our carers shares our philosophy of care, and we know that they’re warm-hearted, hardworking people who are dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives.

Our carers are all unique individuals, but they’ve each undergone an extensive background check and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and have received top-notch training. We stand behind our carers and trust them to deliver the kind of care we know you and your family deserve, and we like to think that the many positive testimonials we’ve received reflect this.
