Live in Care in Waterford

Hi I'm Amal, the Branch Manager at Helping Hands Hertford. I joined Helping Hands in October 16th 2023. My current responsibilities are to oversee and manage both office and care staff to make sure we are always delivering a safe and high standard of care to our customers. I feel honoured to be part of this branch and work alongside a passionate and dynamic team of both office and care staff to support people in our local community whatever their needs may be. My inspiration to join social care is wanting to make a difference to people's lives and to empower them to reach their full potentials. In my spare time, I like to read, cook and spend time with my family.

I have worked in the care industry for twenty-five years. My experiences have helped me to understand and ensure that the service provided to our customers is always safe, effective, responsive, well-led and caring.

As the Regional Care Director, it is my role to lead a hugely skilled care team operating in London, Essex and the South East, ensuring the highest levels of care are being delivered to our customers on a daily basis. We have a large branch network equipped to deal with all your hourly care needs, and I am also the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our live-in program, where we are set up to support you on a more permanent basis.

I am inspired on a daily basis by the true lengths my colleagues go to, to ensure that customers can continue to live long, healthy lives from the comfort of their own homes. This is one of the main reasons that inspired me to join care.

As the registered Branch Manager at Watford, my main responsibility is to ensure that we deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our customers, ensuring that their needs are consistently met. It is my responsibility to provide an inspiring leadership which is well led, safe, effective, caring, responsive and promotes a positive culture. My team are as passionate as myself to deliver the best care as they are committed, patient and proud of the jobs they undertake. I am a wife and mother to three teenagers to see the young adults they are becoming is a very proud and rewarding achievement, I am all about family, in my spare time I like meals out, socialising with family and close friends.
