I joined Helping Hands in 2016, and began my journey as a Visiting Carer.
My current responsibilities are to oversee and manage both office and care staff to make sure we are always delivering a safe and high standard of care to our customers. I ensure my team are well equipped and supported in their roles to enable them to do this. I have been a Carer, Field-Care Supervisor & Care Coordinator; my experiences have helped me to understand and fulfill the purpose of our roles and how each position is essential for ensuring our service is always safe, effective, responsive, well-led and caring. My inspiration to join Social Care is wanting to make a difference to the people in our communities. I initially wanted to become a nurse and I joined care for the experience, the knowledge and insight it would bring, but essentially ended up falling in love with the role and effectively pursued a career in Domiciliary Care.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my friends and family, go for long walks. I am a big animal lover and have 2 dogs and 3 cats at home. I also enjoy getting engrossed in a good book, with my own little personal library.
