    Home care Solihull

For over 30 years, our dedicated carers have been providing person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to be independent and live well. Whether it’s a diagnosis of Parkinson’s, arthritis, cerebral palsy, or if you just need an extra pair of hands around the house because you’re not as mobile as you used to be, visiting home care can make a real difference to your life and wellbeing.

Starting from 45-minute visits all the way up to several calls per day, we’ll make sure that you have everything you need and equip you to stay within the comforts of your own home. With care that’s unintrusive and tailored to your needs, we’ll visit little or often and ensure you have the right level of care for you.

If your care needs change or your symptoms develop, we can swiftly adapt to your needs, giving you complete flexibility over your care plan. What’s more, we’ll ensure that we work collaboratively with you so that you are always involved in the decision-making process and have control over the care you receive.

One-to-one assistance with live-in care in Solihull

All of our live-in care in Solihull team are trained at our bespoke centre in Warwickshire, where they receive award-winning training that enables them to provide the very best care to our live-in customers. In addition to this training, they are also chosen for their kindness, empathy and gentle nature – all of which are very important when you are welcoming someone into your home to live with you and take care of you.

In addition to receiving regular training, our live-in carers work in conjunction with a team of clinicians who can care for individuals with more complex conditions such as acquired brain injuries, spinal injuries, stroke after care, stomas and catheters. Your live-in carer will get to know you and care for you with the utmost respect and dignity, so that you can relax – safe in the knowledge that your care needs are in order.

Domiciliary care that puts you at the centre

Having a regular carer doesn’t mean that they will take over and do everything; they will enable you to live the life you want to lead and assist you to carry out household tasks or personal care.

With domiciliary care, we put you at the centre so that you always have control over when, where and how you receive care. And most importantly, it should be care that suits you and your existing routines. So, if you like to visit Elmdon Park and walk around the lake every week, we’ll make sure that you have the right support to do so.

Specialist dementia care that understands your needs

Dementia is an umbrella term for a variety of different conditions and diseases that have very different symptoms and affect individuals in very diverse ways. As dementia home care experts, we understand that the symptoms of Pick’s disease can be very different to those of vascular dementia, and different again depending on the individual. We’ll be there to reassure you and your family that your particular care needs are catered for – whether that’s checking on you several times a day or having a live-in carer who is there whenever you need them.

Dementia care covers a whole host of different needs, from practicalities such as personal care, assisting with mobility and helping to administer medication, to emotional support and companionship. We’ll get to know you and live with you in your ‘reality’, whether that’s 10 years ago or when you were a teenager.

Elderly care to support your independence

As we get older, we may start to find that our reaction times are slower or we become less steady on our feet, but this doesn’t mean that we can’t continue to live independently. With a little support, elderly care can enable you to enjoy everything that you used to do – be it going for a gentle swim at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre or for a stroll around Packwood House.

Regardless of whether you’re living alone, as a couple or even with a canine companion or feline fellow, we’ll work with however you like to live your life and make sure that you all have the support you need.

Respite care for when you need to take a break

Respite care can be an integral part of your care routine, particularly if your regular carer is a close friend, family member or partner. One of the branch team will meet with both of you to understand your routine and requirements and work to put a respite care package in place with minimal disruption, allowing your carer to take a well-earned rest. This can also apply if you decide to take a holiday alone or with your family or carer; having a Helping Hands carer can allow you all to enjoy a break together without having to worry about your care needs.

If you don’t have time to plan respite care due to your caregiver having to attend an emergency, or you’ve been discharged from the hospital and need extra support, we can arrange for care to be put in place in as little as 24 hours from your enquiry. With such a swift turnaround time, it doesn’t mean that we forgo quality or expertise. With over 30 years’ experience in respite care, we’re adept at ensuring our skilled carers are ready to care at the very last minute if necessary.

    Fully-trained live-in carers in Solihull

Since 1989, we have been training and upskilling our carers to ensure that they provide the very best care for the thousands of families that we look after. They are only able to achieve this high standard because of their passion, kind-heartedness and willingness to go above and beyond, which really does take them to the next level.

With training for all of our recruits and regular refresher training for all of our carers, every one of them learn in-depth skills in first aid, manual handling, dementia and safeguarding. And as the first and only home care provider to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care, you can rest assured that your carer has received the very best training.

As a fully regulated service by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are continuously inspected and monitored to make sure that our service is responsive, effective and safe for both our customers and our carers. Being audited by an independent association ensures that we deliver on what we say we will, our employees are all trained in line with industry standards and that we will always deliver the very best in home care.
