Live-in care for total reassurance

Live-in care is a fantastic option if you are needing a higher level of support or more continual support.

It provides an alternative to residential care which allows you to stay in the comfort of your own home and maintain a high quality of life.

Staying in your own home helps maintain familiarity, independence and prevents any disruption which can often be upsetting.

Every single live-in care package is tailored to your exact needs and requirements. We take the time to find out about the support you need, as well as who you are as a person to make sure we find a carer that is well suited to you.

Respite care in and around Bristol

If your needs are not ongoing, the Bristol branch can provide you with support for as little as one day or up to 4 weeks.

If your circumstances change rapidly due to unforeseen circumstances we can get care in to place within 24-48 hours.

Respite care can be a great source of support for:

  • Illness – If you are under the weather for a short spell and need support whilst you get back on your feet.
  • Hospital discharge – Re-enablement packages are a great way to support you temporarily while you are recovering from a stay in hospital and your needs are not ongoing
  • Holidays – Appropriate support whilst you’re away on holiday, or if a loved one who is staying at home will need some care whilst you are away.
  • Occasions – Family occasions can be difficult if you are unwell, or your mobility is limited. You could have a carer for one day who can support you with transport, mobilising and any other support you may need throughout the course of a day.

Funding from your local authority

Depending on your situation you could be entitled to financial support from your local authority in and around Bristol.

Generally, financial support is means tested so it is best to contact your social services team directly and they will be able to let you know what you are entitled to. It could be that you are required to privately fund your care.

If you are entitled to funding from your local authority you can request to have the money paid directly in to your own bank account.

This is called ‘direct payments’ and gives you the freedom to manage your own finances.

The Bristol team will gladly discuss how they accept direct payments, and what you need to do.
