Visiting care and live-in care in Dagenham

Dagenham has a long history, first appearing in a document as Dæccanhaam in the 7th century. The name would’ve represented a “ham” or farm of a man called Daecca, and Dagenham remained largely unchanged until 1921, when the large Becontree estate began construction. Industry has also historically been an important part of Dagenham’s identity, with the large Ford plant situated in the town.

At Helping Hands, our aim is to establish ourselves in even more places that share our passion for providing excellent standards of homecare, and our local team in Dagenham will be able to support anyone, regardless of condition. With visiting care starting from just 30 minutes per week, we’re perfectly placed to care for every customer who needs us in the local area.

Meet the team

Jaspreet Kaur

Meet Jaspreet Kaur, our Branch Care Manager, Dagenham

My role is to support the vulnerable in helping them feel safe, whilst also giving them the confidence to become independent. I will be ensuring my responsibilities remain consistent, to help the people we support. I started working in care shortly after learning about my husband’s chronic rare autoimmune condition. I saw how he dealt with it daily, while also empowering others through his job as a personal trainer/nutritionist and using his own experiences to motivate others through their own challenges. The care services were the reason he was able to gain the positives he needed to help himself while also beginning to help others. I saw what areas could do with improvement after seeing what was lacking in supporting him, and when we made our changes, they led to him making further improvements in himself. I wanted to be someone that made that change, to make a real difference in other people’s lives that we support. I feel we provide the best possible service to our clients, considering all their desired outcomes and we work closely with your loved ones to achieve a better quality of life. I have a young family, so a lot of my time is spent with them. I enjoy the little things in life, a cup of tea with my neighbour or a stroll in the park with kids/friends. I host a book club; I choose 12 books for the year and every month we review the books. I’m looking to continue this in my branch and get my clients involved. I love to read!

Having one of our carers with you all day and night so that they can carry out your care whenever you need it, whether you have mild requirements, complex care needs, or would just like companionship, the in-depth knowledge of our experienced carers will mean you get to live your best life possible in the home you love.

Better than a care agency in Dagenham

Our fully regulated and managed home care services mean that at Helping Hands you can be sure we’ll always have your care as our top priority. Furthermore, because we aren’t and have never been a care agency, we can proudly state that we are a private homecare company with over 30 years of success to our name. Consequently, we value our carers highly which motivates their passion for the role and ensures that they go above and beyond for their customers’ wellbeing, every single day.

Dagenham emergency care

When you need emergency care, don’t presume that you’ll have to leave the home you love and move into residential accommodation, even temporarily. Whether you need care quickly because your regular carer is taking a well-earned break, you’re being unexpectedly discharged from hospital or you’ve had an accident, you still need to know that you’re going to be cared for excellently by a company who always have your best interests at heart.

Private care in Dagenham

When you receive private care from Helping Hands you can be sure that the package of support you choose is uniquely tailored to you, and flexible enough to mould around your changing needs. You decide what care you receive, whether in your home or escorting you outside of it, and just how often you receive care, from our either our visiting service or having a carer live-in your home with you. Our local care teams will support you with every aspect of your care planning and delivery, so you’ll always be at the centre of your own care journey.

Overnight care

At Helping Hands, we can provide you with overnight care on a live-in or visiting basis. If you struggle with being awake at night or you’re in need of support when everyone else is asleep, we can help. Our amazing carers can be with you throughout the night to support you in your routine, whether it’s mobility and repositioning in bed, personal care, medication support or much more. Your personalised support plan will ensure that everything you require is taken care of, so you’ll never have to worry overnight again.
