Dewsbury has a long and interesting history, having been influenced heavily by industrialisation and the arrival of the canal network. It became a centre for Chartist agitation and saw its population rise from 4,566 in 1801 to around 30,000 by 1890.
At Helping Hands, we’ve seen large scale growth since 1989 and have gone from one branch to well over 150. Our live-in and visiting care services support our customers to live their best lives in the home they love.

My role at Helping Hands is to manage a team of both office staff and carers out in the community to deliver an outstanding quality of care to our customers. My responsibilities within my role are to make sure we are delivering a safe and effective service and that we are responsive in our day to day activities.
I decided to join the care industry after my grandad passed away in 2017. I had hands-on experience of what care was about and it inspired me to give something back and make my family proud. I decided to join Helping Hands as a carer which I thoroughly enjoyed, which then led me to progress into different roles within the company.
I feel very passionate about what we do at Helping Hands and I have a fantastic team of both office staff and carers that have the same passion for the job as I do.
I am very family orientated and in my spare time I love to spend time with my nearest and dearest, socialising, going out for food, and holidays abroad.

As the Regional Care Director, it is my role to lead a hugely skilled care team operating in London, Essex and the South East, ensuring the highest levels of care are being delivered to our customers on a daily basis. We have a large branch network equipped to deal with all your hourly care needs, and I am also the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our live-in program, where we are set up to support you on a more permanent basis.
I am inspired on a daily basis by the true lengths my colleagues go to, to ensure that customers can continue to live long, healthy lives from the comfort of their own homes. This is one of the main reasons that inspired me to join care.

Better than a care agency in Dewsbury
Being a private home care company rather than an agency means we look after our carers by employing them directly and ensuring they are always supported. That means they are always highly motivated to support our customers expertly, which is why we’re better than an agency. It’s not just our carers who benefit though; our customers get the benefit of happy and valued carers and also the superlative operational support that only comes from a private company.
Dewsbury live-in care
With our live-in care service, your carer will reside with you around the clock, so you and your loved ones never have to be concerned about you being at home on your own. Your carer will be a constant presence but also discreet, undertaking other household duties if you would like a bit of time to yourself.
Domiciliary care for you
We’ve been the homecare specialists since we were founded in 1989 and even though we’ve now grown to offer support across England and Wales, we haven’t lost sight of our original ethos, which is to offer the highest possible standards of care to our customers, enabling them to live their best quality of life within the home they love. Your domiciliary care is always tailored around you and your routines, so you’re always kept at the centre of your own care journey.
Experienced dementia care at home
You may not need professional dementia care right away after a diagnosis, however it’s a good idea to talk to loved ones as soon as possible about your preferences for your eventual care, as if the time comes that you do require it, your wishes will then be known and acted upon. With Helping Hands, there is always guidance & support available for you and your loved ones and as your condition progresses being able to remain in your own home means it may help to reduce confusion and anxiety for you.

You may need respite care for several reasons – your regular carer may need to take a break, your loved ones may be going on holiday, or perhaps you’re recovering from an accident or illness. Our expert carers will support your routines and preferences thanks to your personalised support plan which will ensure all your needs are met.
