Industry leading respite care in Norwich

Respite care can be necessary for a variety of reasons. Perhaps your family are going on holiday and you’re remaining at home, or you may have a regular carer who needs to have a break. Or it might be you going on a world cruise and you need a carer to accompany you.
We also provide respite care for people who’ve been in hospital and don’t feel confident to manage at home when they’re discharged. If having to go to a residential home, even temporarily, doesn’t appeal to you, you can have a continuation of care in your own home, thanks to respite care from Helping Hands.

When should I choose respite care, and what can a carer help with?

Our carers are some of the most compassionate and empathetic in the industry and can support you with every aspect of your care. This includes mobility support, personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, housework and much more. Our home care in Norwich team can make a huge difference to your physical and emotional wellbeing, meaning that you may recover faster as you're surrounded by familiar and precious memories. We offer respite care on both a visiting and live-in care basis in and around the Norwich area.

Why you may need Norwich respite care

We offer post-discharge support at home if you require a little help getting back on your feet. Our care is flexible; we can support you at home for days or even weeks, until you’re able to manage or your regular carer returns. If they’ve had to rush back home for a family emergency, you don’t want to be left without care. We can often provide a carer within 24 hours, and you can have visits from as little as 30 minutes at a time, or even around the clock live-in care.

The benefits of respite care at home

We can help you to remain as independent as possible in the place you love, surrounded by everything and everyone important to you. Our own team of clinical nurses manage our complex care packages, so if you have higher level needs we can keep you or your loved one comfortable. We’ll provide a personalised support plan as part of your package of care, meaning that your carer will always ensure that your routine is followed, and your preferences are respected. Your continuity of care won’t be affected when your regular carer goes on holiday or if you’re discharged from hospital, because we’ll work hard to ensure everything is arranged to your specifications.
