Visiting care and home care in Retford
Retford is one of the oldest market towns in England, having been first granted its charter in 1105. Sitting on the River Idle, an ancient ford crossing the river giving the town its name, Chesterfield Canal also passes through the centre of the town.
Even though at Helping Hands we can’t claim such an impressive pedigree, we have been in operation since 1989, making us one of the UK’s longest established and most trustworthy home care companies. Our impressive record for delivering only superb, compassionate care, fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, means we should be considered the first choice for care at home in Nottinghamshire.
Retford has an impressive heritage, with tools from the Mesolithic period being found in the area, as well as items from the Neolithic and Bronze Age.
