Meet Leanne, our Branch Manager

Leanne Taylor, Manchester Branch Manager

Leanne had personal experience in caring for a relative before she decided to pursue a career in the care industry. Her grandmother suffered a stroke, and it was after this that she helped support her grandmother with her rehabilitation and regaining independence.

A registered manager with Care Quality Commission (CQC), Leanne has been with the Rochdale branch since its early days in 2016. She has an enthusiastic and professional team of carers who she describes as ‘fantastic and extremely helpful.’

Leanne works closely not only with her team of carers, but she plays an active role in your local community too. Working alongside doctors, pharmacies and the NHS to ensure we provide as smooth a service as possible.

Leanne said, “Care has affected me personally, and is therefore something that I am passionate about. I decided to follow a career in care, allowing me to bring my passion and empathy to those who need it most in my local community.”

Visiting care to suit your exact needs

The Rochdale team can provide you with 30 minutes of support, right through to entire days. If you need overnight care they can provide support for this too.

Your visiting carer is available to help you live your life in the exact way you want to, meaning you can do everything on your terms-from getting up at your preferred time in the morning, to attending essential appointments.

Visiting care is not confined to your home alone, your visiting carer can take you out and about shopping, to social groups and activities or even to the local pub.

The local team can provide support with personal care, household duties, medication, meal prep and even complex care that is condition specific.

It’s been two weeks since your carers began looking after my mum. Wow, what a difference there is. Even my father’s carers have commented on mum’s improvement. I can’t thank you enough.

24-hour live-in care for constant support

Live-in care provides a great alternative to residential care and has lots of benefits that could help keep your loved one comfortably in their own home.

Benefits of live-in care:

  • One-to-one support – You will have one dedicated carer on hand all day and throughout the night too, to support you with everything from socialisation to advanced personal care.
  • Round the clock assistance – Your live-in carer will move in to your property with you, and is always there to support you. If you require double ups we can support you with visiting carers who work alongside you live in carer.
  • Compatibility – We take the time out to find out about your specific needs as well as who you are as a person to ensure we match you up with a companionable carer. You will be spending a lot of time with your live-in carer so it is essential that you get on.
  • Continuity – Live-in care provides continuity in your day-to-day life with things such as your routine, favourite meals, and the property that you stay in. Providing a stable and familiar environment can be vital to ensuring your wellbeing and peace of mind.
  • The finer details – Your home is trove of memories, and a place where you like things to be done in your own way. Your live-in carer will slot in to your usual life to maintain your routine and quality of life. Meaning you can eat when and what you like, keep your much loved pets at home and everything else that goes along with being in your much-cherished home.

A live-in carer can support you with personal care, medication support, and even complex care needs.

Respite care from the Rochdale branch

We understand that your care needs could change quickly, or may not be ongoing in the first place. For this reason we can provide you with as little as one day of visiting care, or as few as three days of live-in care.

Respite care is a great option if you have just been discharged from hospital, or if you are recovering from an illness but soon to be back to your normal self.

It can provide you with great peace of mind if you are taking some time away and leaving a loved one at home, or if you would like support for yourself whilst you are on holiday.

Your respite carer can do the exact same things as a permanent carer, just on a short-term basis. Respite support is not limited to traditional care, we can also help you with one off events such as weddings, graduations or family parties.

Depending on your circumstances you may be entitled to some funding from your local authority. The best thing to do is contact them directly, and they will discuss your eligibility with you.
