Visiting care and home care in Washington

Bearing the name of the first President of the United States, the town of Washington, near Sunderland, was the ancestral settlement of the local Washington family, from which George Washington was descended. Designated a New Town in 1964, and expanding as the decades progressed, Washington was originally Wasindone in 1096, although its origins are disputed. Now part of the Borough of Sunderland, the area has grown to incorporate surrounding areas over the years.

Helping Hands have been delivering unrivalled care in our customers’ homes for many years, and while we have nowhere near as long a history as Washington, we have been caring for people on both a visiting and live-in care basis since 1989, so we are well established in the industry. Our care is also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Care Inspectorate Wales, so you can be reassured that you’re in the very best hands.

If you’re looking for exceptional visiting care in the Washington region then our amazing carers will make your days go without a hitch. If you’ve been struggling with everyday tasks such as housework, laundry, meal preparation, or personal care, our help will make all the difference. 24/7 live in care support

Live-in care is special. Having someone living in your home with you around the clock means you get an exceptionally personal level of care that sees you never left on your own. This doesn’t mean you never get time to yourself though; instead, our discreet carers recognise when you’d prefer time on your own or privacy with family and friends. Your home will still remain your own – it’ll never feel as if it’s been taken over by someone else.

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Washington

We’re a private home care company not an agency and never have been, and it’s an important distinction to understand. An agency tends not to employ their own carers; instead insisting on them being self-employed or asking the customers to employ them directly. We don’t do that – we manage every aspect of your care experience for you and what’s more, we employ all of our carers ourselves too.

Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Washington

Our reputation as a high-quality care provider is wholly justified, as we’ve decades of experience of being a private home care provider. We take a lot of pride in the people we employ to work for us and are very particular about who gets to represent Helping Hands, with only the very best candidates making it through our rigorous assessment processes. We also screen our people’s references and put them through the DBS process, so that we know they’re the right people to be coming into your home and caring for you.
