For those in need of extra support living in and around the Caldicot area, our team of professional yet friendly carer workers at Helping Hands Caldicot have the skills and expertise to support you with your care needs whilst you remain living in the comfort of your own home. They’ll be there as and when you require, ensuring you live the life you want to lead – just with a little assistance along the way.
Being the nation’s leading home care provider for the last 30-plus years means that we have extensive experience in providing the very best care to people in their own homes – from those living with dementia, Parkinson’s or who are frail, to those who are slightly younger with a genetic health condition. Our CIW-regulated team cater for a variety of different medical conditions and health care needs, all with the aim of keeping you safe and well at home.
Amy has extensive experience in the care industry which she has accumulated over many years. Working as a care worker herself for a long period she knows exactly what it takes to deliver fantastic, bespoke care every single time.
Amy is empathetic, caring and extremely customer orientated. Having worked not just as a care worker, but as a care-coordinator and branch manager, she knows her local area and team of dedicated care workers inside out.
Speaking about the reason she chose to join Helping Hands, Amy said: “I decided to join Helping Hands as it is a family run business and their views on care are much the same as mine. They always strive to provide the highest levels of care at all times, and I am so proud to work for this company.”

Fully flexible care packages as your needs change
Flexible care provided in your own home with a fully qualified carer. Visits start from as little as 30 minutes up to several hourly or overnight calls throughout the week.
One-to-one support from a fully qualified care that lives with you. Full-time support so you can stay at home where you feel most comfortable.
Choosing care for yourself or a loved one can be quite a confusing process, but we believe that live-in care is the ideal option for those that require more intensive support but who don’t want to leave the familiarity and comfort of their beloved home.
Opting for live-in care means that you can stay living in your own home, but with the added benefit of having your very own dedicated care worker living with you to provide one-to-one support whenever you should require it. Although your live-in care worker will have cover for their breaks, this 24-hour service enables you all to have peace of mind that there is always support there, day or night, so you don’t have to worry about trying to get in and out of bed in the middle of the night or that your loved one will become lonely if they live by themselves. Their live-in care worker will become very much a part of their lives, learning their likes and dislikes, routines and hobbies, so that they can provide care in a holistic way that enhances their quality of live and choices.
What sets our care workers apart is their tenacity and willingness to go the extra mile for their customers in any way that they can. And it’s for this reason that they are selected to join us, regardless of their previous care experience, as the ability to genuinely care for another is not something that can be taught or learned; it’s something innately within you.
Once recruited, all of our care workers are required to produce character references and go through a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, before starting their in-house training programme. This is where they learn everything from company policies and procedures, safeguarding, manual handling, first aid and how to carry out personal care. They are also required to undertake training courses on specific conditions such as dementia and update their knowledge with regular refresher sessions.
Our Caldicot branch is fully regulated and accredited by the CQC and CIW.
Every one of our carers is a dementia specialist
