When you’re looking for exceptional care at home in Edmonton, choose Helping Hands to guide you through the complexities of palliative support. Just because you’ve been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition doesn’t mean your life is coming to an end. In fact, you can still live well for years to come in some cases with a little extra support to help you manage your days.
We choose only the best of the best to be our carers. Through their hard work and compassion, we know that we offer the best care and support across England and Wales. We offer a bespoke service tailored specifically to you and your needs and because we’ve been around since 1989, we’ve had more than 35 years of experience in delivering exceptional care.
Contemplating choosing palliative or end-of-life care can be a very daunting task. We want to take the stress out of that choice and instead make it an easy one. We want to help make any palliative care as comfortable, dignified and stress-free as possible for you, which is why we’ll worry about all the tricky bits, so you don’t have to. If you’re after a compassionate friend to ease you through this challenging stage of life, Helping Hands is here to provide an alternative to a hospice or care home. We’ll provide the best care from your own home, and we’ll work with you to tailor our care to your specific needs.
Whether it’s end-of-life or support with a progressive condition, our carers are fully trained in simple housekeeping skills such as cleaning and cooking, to more complex responsibilities like managing a stoma or catheter. We’ll do everything we can to understand your unique requirements and work around who matters most – you. We don’t want you stressed or unhappy during this time, we’re here to improve your quality of life in any way we can, whether that’s with mobility support or just being a kind ear to chat to. We are experts in symptom management and managing any medications you may need, so you can relax and leave all those parts of your condition down to us.
Our carers are fully qualified to be by your side whilst you get to grips with your condition. We select specific carers to go through our palliative and end-of-life care training, and while all our carers are superstars in giving care, some are specifically passionate and skilled at working in palliative care. This includes understanding your condition inside and out, the right time to transition, and the Five Priorities as listed by the NHS for end-of-life care. You’ll be in safe hands – literally – and we’re sure you’ll be managing your condition in no time, as opposed to it managing you.
Our doors are open for you to talk to us about any of your palliative care questions. How about popping into the Enfield branch for a quick chat? It’s right next to the wonderful Waltham Abbey. You can also contact us over the phone, or use our bespoke seven days a week Live Chat option on our website.
