Home care in Kempsey
Visiting care and home care in Kempsey
Kempsey village was once an island that lay between marshes and the River Severn, its name derived from belonging to the Saxon chief Kemy. The village has a long history and was recorded in the ‘Domesday Book’ of 1086.
Helping Hands also has a long history, albeit not as far back as Kempsey’s. We began in 1989; established to provide the highest standards of care at home, which is an ethos we still live by. Our visiting and live-in services can provide the care you need personalised to you, and with visits from just 30 minutes a week we can provide you with all the support you need.

At Helping Hands Worcester and Malvern, my main role is to ensure that we provide a high quality of care and a safe service. I make sure that the branch runs smoothly day-to-day ensuring that both customer and carers are happy and have the best positive outcomes. Providing person-centred care and support. I joined helping hands in February 2022 but have worked in care for over fifteen years, starting caring for my own grandparents and then as a carer for a domiciliary care company in Scotland and continue my care journey until I became a care coordinator I joined Helping Hands as a Care & Training Practitioner, then Care Coordinator and now Branch Manager. My aim is to approach everything holistically. I try to create a happy working environment for all allowing trust and comfortability between carers and customers A bit about me - I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, enjoying movies and eating out. I have one dog who I love to take on long walks and do so in most of my spare time, I also enjoy most outdoor sports. My perfect day would be sat beside an open fire with my family and friends.

Kempsey live-in care to support you
-
If you’re concerned about the loss of independence that going into a care home can bring, or maybe the financial implications, live-in care from Helping Hands can be a cost-effective alternative. Your carer will live with you in your home all day and night meaning you’ll never be alone at home, which in itself can be reassuring for you and your loved ones. This doesn’t mean your carer will be in the way or under your feet though, as they’ll be as discreet as you need and aware of how much support you’ll require, thanks to your personalised support plan. You’ll soon become friends though and you’ll wonder how you ever managed without them!

Better than a care agency in Kempsey
-
Our carers get to concentrate on providing the best care possible for our customers in their own homes, thanks to the fact that we’re a private home care company, not an agency. Agencies will often charge you for hidden extras such as referral fees and ‘matching’ costs, whereas our pricing structure is open and transparent, meaning you avoid any unpleasant surprises when your bill arrives.
-
Domiciliary care services
-
If you enjoy your own routines being followed and don’t want to compromise your way of life when needing care, then domiciliary care is the answer. Having care at home means you get to do what you want at times to suit you, whether that’s eating, getting out of bed or doing activities. No matter what you need support with, for instance medication, personal care or housework, we can help, so stay in control of your own preferences with care at home.
