Visiting care and home care in Washington
Bearing the name of the first President of the United States, the town of Washington, near Sunderland, was the ancestral settlement of the local Washington family, from which George Washington was descended. Designated a New Town in 1964, and expanding as the decades progressed, Washington was originally Wasindone in 1096, although its origins are disputed. Now part of the Borough of Sunderland, the area has grown to incorporate surrounding areas over the years.
Helping Hands have been delivering unrivalled care in our customers’ homes for many years, and while we have nowhere near as long a history as Washington, we have been caring for people on both a visiting and live-in care basis since 1989, so we are well established in the industry. Our care is also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Care Inspectorate Wales, so you can be reassured that you’re in the very best hands.
