Visiting care and home care in Hampton
People have been living in Hampton since Saxon times, but it wasn’t until the 19th century that the area began to expand, with market gardens and nurseries being built on former common land. Hampton Water Treatment Works was constructed in the late 1850s, and the Shepperton branch line in 1864 brought more people to the area. Additional suburban housing was built at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The nurseries became unprofitable as the 20th century progressed and additional housing was built on the land in the 1980s.
As Hampton’s fortunes have changed over the years, so have Helping Hands’. We began as a small, family business in 1989 and have grown to a branch network totalling 155 across England and Wales. We offer visiting and live-in care across London, all fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and felt it was time we explored the Hamptons area better.
