Visiting care and home care in Hampton

People have been living in Hampton since Saxon times, but it wasn’t until the 19th century that the area began to expand, with market gardens and nurseries being built on former common land. Hampton Water Treatment Works was constructed in the late 1850s, and the Shepperton branch line in 1864 brought more people to the area. Additional suburban housing was built at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The nurseries became unprofitable as the 20th century progressed and additional housing was built on the land in the 1980s.

As Hampton’s fortunes have changed over the years, so have Helping Hands’. We began as a small, family business in 1989 and have grown to a branch network totalling 155 across England and Wales. We offer visiting and live-in care across London, all fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and felt it was time we explored the Hamptons area better.

High quality home care in Hampton

Our home care is focussed on keeping you as independent as possible, in the home you love to be in. Just because you’re finding everyday tasks a little more difficult than you used to, or you’re living with a pre-existing condition doesn’t mean you have to leave your beloved home and move into residential care. With our dedicated carers offering visiting care intermittently, at intervals to suit you, we’ll be able to help you achieve all you want to every day.

    24/7 live in care support

Live-in care builds on what our amazing visiting carers achieve and sees someone living in your home with you, around the clock. Don’t be alarmed at the thought of a stranger living with you as all of our care staff are fully vetted and screened by us before being able to enter your home, and they’ll quickly become a friend you didn’t know you needed! We try our best to match your carer’s personality and likes to yours so that every day can become fun as well as productive!

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Hampton

While we’re not criticising care agencies, we’re just pointing out that we’ve never been one, and why that’s important to the standard of care you receive. Agencies tend to retain carers and customers on their books and charge fees for bringing the two together, whereas with Helping Hands, we’re a private home care company that manages your whole care experience. We also recruit our carers in-house and employ them directly, meaning everyone is protected by UK employment law.

Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Hampton

Our carers are chosen to work for us because they demonstrate outstanding natural qualities of kindness and compassion. We’re less impressed with experience if it isn’t backed up by kindness so we’d rather have someone who has never cared professionally before but has caring for others at heart. We build on whatever experience our carers come to us with, though, providing opportunities to develop through our own training academy and offering qualifications that can then be applied to their own role straightaway.
