For over 30 years, we’ve been supporting people across England and Wales who need assistance at home to enable them to be as independent as possible. During the coronavirus pandemic, we are still very much providing quality care to our customers, and we are also able to support new customers if you or a loved one needs help at home.

If you then decide to choose us as your care provider following your initial telephone conversation, a local care manager in your area will  be in touch to discuss your care in more detail. Due to the current social distancing measures in place, we are happy to arrange this more in-depth meeting over the phone or via video call.

What is Helping Hands doing about coronavirus?

Our main goal throughout the coronavirus epidemic is to ensure that all of our customers and staff remain as safe as possible. These are unprecedented times and we’re doing our utmost to ensure that the guidance and procedures that we put in place follow the latest advice from the Government, Public Health England and the United Kingdom Health Care Association (UKHCA). This includes the adequate provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) – aprons, gloves, face masks and face shields, which we have been supplying to our teams up and down the country.

With the unsettling times that we find ourselves in, we appreciate that many of you have questions about yours or a loved one’s care, or even what we are asking our carers to do. We want to be completely transparent with you so that you can feel reassured and safe in the knowledge that you’re being looked after properly. We have put together a range of additional information specifically linked to the type of care we can offer during the pandemic, including coronavirus home care.
