Reasons to be a Helping Hands Carer

As a Helping Hands carer you have the potential to change lives for the better.

Redditch carers

Helping Hands is a well established family run business with over 25 years of experience in supporting and developing our care staff. Our carers have been delighting our customers, making a real difference to their lives since 1989 when the company was founded by Mary Lee. Following Mary’s retirement the leadership of the company has passed to her sons Tim and Ben Lee who continue to relentlessly pursue excellence in the service that is offered to both Helping Hands customers and staff.

It is a privilege to work with such an enthusiastic and dedicated team both out in our customers homes and in our offices. Knowing that we all work together to change people’s lives for the better is a wonderful thing.

People join Helping Hands for many reasons; a recent survey of our carers who have been with us for over 2 years gave the following responses to the question “why did you initially join Helping Hands?”

I have recently received an award for focusing on people which made me very proud of what I do and happy to know that my hard work is recognised by the company. But I couldn’t do this job the way I do it if I was on my own. Ever since I’ve worked for Helping Hands I’ve felt I’m part of a team and that we all work towards the welfare of the customers without forgetting about the carers’ well-being on the way. I’d like to tell you that I am lucky to have such a good team behind me. During my previous placement I went through some difficult moments and I could always feel the support and encouragement from my manager and people at the office. My manager keeps me motivated when things get difficult and lets me know when I’m doing a good job. I know she’s always there if I need her and that makes a world of difference. It’s good to know there’s someone there to back you up when you need it. With this company I feel confident and motivated to do my job the best I can and to keep improving and make someone’s life a bit more special every day. Ana Gomes – Live-in Carer, Anglesey
