Helping Hands has been providing companionship through to complex nursing-led live-in care to people across England and Wales since 1989 and is widely acknowledged to be the country’s most respected provider of the service.
As a values driven family business we have worked tirelessly over the past 28 years to develop a flexible live-in care service that places our customers at its heart. We achieve this through directly employing all of our care staff and training and developing our carers to deliver person centred care in a dignified and respectful way.
We have a national network of high-street branches, regional managers, regional trainers and registered nurses to support and develop our carers and ensure our level of service and care to our customers meets our exacting standards.
Fully regulated and endorsed
Unlike some other home care providers, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and are proud of the fact we have always been fully compliant.
Leading the sector
We are a provider of live in care to over 70 social services departments and the majority of NHS Trusts across England and Wales. Many of our customers have been with us for a number of years, with the continuity of the same carer looking after them. Industry-endorsed training and induction
We understand the importance of equipping all of our employees with the knowledge and practical skills needed so we can continue to deliver the outstanding support we’re known for. This is why we’ve put so much thought into building what has become one of the industry’s leading training programmes.
After a review of our training and induction processes for both carers and office support teams, we have officially been endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care – the country’s strategic body for the adult social care workforce. This makes us the first and only full-service home care provider to receive such an accolade.
We are founder members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), the professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors as well as being a corporate partner of the Spinal Injuries Association.
