Ursula heads up carer recruitment at Helping Hands, a role she describes as “the most rewarding and satisfying I have had in my career to date”.

The focus for her team is continually improving the process for carers joining Helping Hands. “Carers are, without a doubt, the most important people here at Helping Hands,” she said. “Each and every carer applying for job must receive the best possible service – and one that is tailored for each applicant.”

Ursula is extremely passionate about her role and works hard to challenge her team to exceed expectations day in and day out. “A major success that our team has had is growing our recruitment of carers from overseas. It means we can recruit on a global level to secure only the best carers to work in our customer’s homes.”

Rebecca Twisleton, recruitment for live-in careRebecca and her team of live-in care recruitment co-ordinators help to select only the best carers to join Helping Hands. “I’m the key point of contact for queries, concerns and requests from live-in carers,” she said.

Together with assessing each candidate, their job application and their pre-employment checks, the team also ensures each new carer is thoroughly checked to meet the standards set by our regulators.

With new live-in carers joining Helping Hands every week of the year, Rebecca shared, “I thoroughly enjoy my role. It’s fast-paced, challenging and no day can ever be described as boring.”
