Home care in Wales
Visiting care and home care in Wales
Our flexible live-in care services are available across Wales, including Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Wrexham, Haverfordwest, Carmarthen, Aberystwyth and the surrounding areas.
We enable people to receive the finest high-end care, to live comfortably and independently within their own homes, surrounded by friends, family pets and personal belongings, avoiding a move into a residential care home.
Whether you need full-time live-in care or short-term respite, convalescence, help planning for your long-term care, or you simply require a single call per day, we will be able to work around your needs.
Care workers can live with your loved one in their own home, or visit as frequently as you need, from 30 minutes through to longer “sit-in” sessions that may take most of the day or even help during the night.

Regulator CIW reports we go 'above and beyond'
Helping Hands has been providing exceptional home care since 1989 and is still proudly family-owned and run. Following an inspection of the Helping Hands Cardiff branch by our regulator the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), we were awarded as often going “above and beyond, doing the things that are ‘not on the list'”.
We are committed to providing an unparalleled care service, ensuring we meet the highest possible standards of quality home care. Helping Hands live-in care packages are tailored personally to your care needs. We work with doctors, nurses and many private hospitals to deliver home care and housekeeping that meets your exact requirements.
We carefully match you with a fully-trained care worker who will live with you in your home, supporting you with your day-to-day needs and even being on call overnight. Whether it’s helping with personal care, going to the toilet, help taking medication, housekeeping or moving round the house, many of our care workers become a lifeline to our customers, enabling them to live the way they want every day.
If you have an acquired or progressive medical condition or have been recently injured and need support around the home, one of our nurse-led care workers can give you the extra support you need. If your medical condition requires that you take medication in the middle of the night, one of our care workers can be there to remind you to take it and help to administer it.
Most importantly, we carefully manage the entire process for you, from start to finish so you don’t have to!
If you’re receiving direct payments for social care through social services, we are able to accept top-ups to these payments. Get in touch to find out more.
