Home care in North West
Visiting care and home care in North West
Our flexible live-in care services are available across the North West, including Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and the surrounding areas.
We enable people to receive the finest high-end care, to live comfortably and independently within their own homes, surrounded by friends, family pets and personal belongings, avoiding a move into a residential care home.
Helping Hands has been providing exceptional home care since 1989 and is still proudly family-owned and run. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are committed to providing an unparalleled care service, ensuring we meet the highest possible standards of quality home care.

Area Care Manager
My role as Area Care Manager is to oversee the Central region, ensuring that new branches are set up safely and are providing a quality service to customers, and ensuring that branch care managers feel supported in their roles to do this. I started in care 20+ years ago as a care worker whilst studying at university. This was to gain experience in a customer-facing role and because I have a passion for caring for people with various disabilities. After finishing university, I continued in the care sector as I enjoyed supporting people to live their way in their own home. I worked my way up to a care coordinator, registered care manager and then managing multiple sites as a director of services. I took on the role at Helping Hands as head of care as their values align with me, the main one being KINDNESS. At Helping Hands, we believe in providing a quality, safe and effective service to our customers and recruiting the best talent to enable us to do this. Just like the customer, we value our staff by being flexible for them and providing them with extensive training to do their role and progress within the organisation; as head of care, this makes me proud to work here! I champion dignity in care and believe that everyone should be treated with dignity - this is a basic human right and not an added extra.

24/7 live in care support
Whether you need full-time live-in care, short-term respite, convalescence, planning for your long-term care, or you simply require a single call per day, we will be able to work around your needs.
Carers can live with your loved one in their own home, or visit as frequently as you need, from 30 minutes through to longer “sit-in” sessions that may take most of the day or even help during the night.
We carefully match you with a fully-trained carer who will live with you in your home, supporting you with your day-to-day needs and even being on call overnight. Whether it’s helping with personal care, going to the toilet, help taking medication, housekeeping or moving round the house, many of our carers become a lifeline to our customers, enabling them to live the way they want every day.

Friendly, expertly-trained, qualified carers in the North West
The idea of welcoming a new person into your home and life may seem a little daunting and unsettling at first. With a handpicked live-in carer, matched perfectly to you, your life can stay much the same as before. We walk you through each step of the way and place up most importance on matching you with someone you feel the most comfortable with and who understands your routines, likes and interests.
Before beginning their work with us, all our carers take part in an intensive training programme at our Centre of Excellence where they develop a wide knowledge of personal through to complex condition-led care. But the training does not stop there.
Every Helping Hands carer takes part in ongoing training to boost their knowledge and experience across a wide range of areas, from dementia care to complex care requirements. All Helping Hands carers are DBS checked and trained to help you or your loved one remain independent in their home, whilst giving you the level of live-in care that you require.
